Guitar Hero Rumors: Van Halen in ‘09

If having a new line of guitars from EVH wasn't enough, now devotees have a chance to 'virtually' become Eddie Van Halen.
Internet rumors point to a Guitar Hero Van Halen version as the next part in the popular series as a follow-up to the Aerosmith and Metallica versions.

Although Activision hasn't officially made this announcement, the folks at Joystiq.com are reporting that the next version will feature the band as well as songs by Weezer, Judas Priest and Tenacious D.

Of course, the next question is which lineup and which singer?  Will there be a Van Haggar set to go along with David Lee Roth led band and what the heck is gonna happen with Michael Anthony being replaced by Eddie's son Wolfgang?

I would imagine that ex-lead singers Mitch Malloy or Gary Cherone would not be included but hey, you never know!  Anyway, if you haven't wasted enough of your life trying to learn "Eruption" now you can spend even more time learning it again - maybe, actually, finally succeeding at the big time.  Hey, it may be digital, but the crowd's still cheering.
